Tasting notes (5.50/10; 2 ratings)

2018-10-21
[6/10] Should've taken notes sooner, but it's been pretty consistent over the past month. White head, good retention, some lacing. Smells like overripe mango, papaya, some orange zest. Bitter orange, a tad grassy, bitterness stays on the finish. Hop character is a bit muddled. Some grapefruit notes. A bit of a murky orange, brown color. Looks dull. Not bad , but some brightness would be nice.

[5/10] Final pour. Very full, tropical fruit aroma. Some orange blossom. Almost detecting a phenolic character in the flavor. Long, grassy pine finish. Certainly, and obviously, past its prime.
