Boil for 60 minutes
Mash
[70.80%] 10 pounds of 2-Row (Briess) (My parents picked up the ingredients, so I'm not sure which brand of malts were used.
)
[14.16%] 2 pounds of Malted Rye (Briess) (Briess)
[14.16%] 2 pounds of CaraRed (Weyermann)
[0.88%] 2 ounces of Carafa Special II (Weyermann)
Single infusion mash. Mashed with 5 gallons (1.42 quarts per pound) of reverse osmosis water for 60 minutes. 14lb 2oz of grain was used in the mash. (Original recipe called for some Epsom Salt, but I decided to keep it simple and not add any.)
Strike water temp: (0.2/1.42) * (152 - 68) + 152 = 163.9
1.80g calcium chloride and 4.30g gypsum added to water
Sparge
Sparged for 56 minutes with 4 gallons of 170° reverse osmosis water.
1.40g calcium chloride and 3.40g gypsum added to water
